we have found it to be even more so when raising these small camilids. Unlike their larger kin llamas, who can be used for backpacking trips, alpacas are kept for their valuable fiber. Caring for animals isn’t for everyone, but those who know, don’t need any more persuading. Alpacas are a real joy, our next adventure.

where there were bulbs, there is now corn

Spring has given way to summer, as this is written, it’s a scorcher, we have a mini heat wave to endure. The tulip, daff and iris bulbs have long been lifted, the ground was prepped for wheat, corn, cabbage seed and silage. Wheat is being reaped leaving straw stubble, the corn, well, you can almost hear it growing, it’s so hot. A few pictures here
